Open Door Arts, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation would like to thank the Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s Community Grant Program for the generous $5,000 award for our Connecting and Creating Through the Arts program. The Connecting and Creating Through the Arts program at the Open Door Gallery at the Worcester Art Museum (ODG@WAM) provides year-long accessible arts education and interactive activities for adults with disabilities, taught by talented Worcester Art Museum staff. The creation of art has been shown to increase the quality of life, social outcomes, self-esteem, and independence for people with disabilities. Thank you Greater Worcester Community Foundation for partnering with Open Door Arts to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities and everyone who engages with the ODG@WAM.
